Dewey’s Read A Thon

If for some reason you’ve been living under a rock for the last little while, Dewey’s 24 Hour Read A Thon is this weekend! What does that mean? Lots of reading, cheerleading, blogging, and prize winning!

Check out the FAQ’s for all the info you need to participate.

My start time is 6 am tomorrow. I have the alarm ready to go off at 5:45 am so that I can wake up and start reading right at 6. I have a bunch of snacks ready and a pile of books too.

Good luck to everyone participating!

Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-a-Thon

If you haven’t heard already, Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-a-Thon will be taking place tomorrow (April 9th). I had a ton of fun last time I participated, so how can I say no? If you’re interested in signing up (and really, why wouldn’t you want to spend a whole day reading as much as you possible can?), click here.

Here’s what I’ll be hoping to read:

Pants on Fire by Meg Cabot

I was a Non Blonde Cheerleader by Kieran Scott

When Lightning Strikes by Meg Cabot

Code Name Cassandra by Meg Cabot

The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory

Realistically I know I won’t be able to get through all of these books, but I’d rather be prepared and have too much to read rather than not enough.

If you’re joining in on the challenge leave a comment with what you’re going to read.

Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-A-Thon Wrap-Up

I didn’t do very well. I only managed to get in two hours of reading. I spent an hour and twenty minutes with Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel  and forty minutes with Kiss Me Deadly.

After work I made dinner and finished up some baking. Then I read! Unfortunately I needed some time in front of the TV to decompress from a crappy day at work. Then it was time for bed so I could get up this morning in time for work. So that’s why I only got two hours of reading in.

Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-A-Thon

Yay! It’s read-a-thon time again!

Unfortunately it doesn’t land on a great weekend for me. I have to work most of tomorrow. Thanksgiving is also this weekend, so there will be lots of baking that has to get done as well to get ready for Sunday.I made the pumpkin cookies this afternoon (so good), and I’m making the cheesecake tomorrow.

I thought I’d get this post up and out of the way so that I could focus on reading tomorrow. I’m hoping to get at least two or three hours of reading in. I’ll be reading Kiss Me Deadly, as I want to get a review up before Halloween.

Good luck to everyone participating!
