Book Blogger Hop (6)

Here’s this week’s question:

“If you could physically put yourself into a book or series…which one would it be and why?”

The first thing that jumped into my head was Order of the Phoenix, the fifth book in the Harry Potter series. It’s one of my two favorite Harry Potter books (the other one is Prisoner of Azkaban, in case you were wondering).

My two favorite scenes in Order of the Phoenix are when the DA are fighting off the Death Eaters in the Department of Mysteries, and Bellatrix kills Sirius. Every time I read that part my heart breaks for Harry, and I hate Bellatrix a little bit more.

The second scene that I love is right after, when Voldemort and Dumbledore are fighting, and Harry makes the decision to stick with Dumbledore instead of turning over to Voldemort. It would be so incredibly easy for Harry to make the opposite decision, especially after just having lost Serius, but he’s determined to do the right thing and stick with his friends, no matter how hard that might be.

I would love to be in both scenes, actually experiencing them, no matter how scary that might be.

Here’s this week’s question:

Who’s your all-time favorite book villian?

Mine would have to definitely be Belletrix Lestrange from the Harry Potter series.

She beats Voldemort in the evilness category because she’s hurt or killed so many people that I really liked in the books. If you need some reminding, here’s the list:

  • Tortured Neville’s parents
  • Killed Sirius Black
  • Killed Tonks
  • Killed Dobby
  • Almost killed Ginny Weasley

While all the Death Eaters, and even Voldemort himself were horrible, what makes Bellatrix the biggest villain to me is that she enjoyed causing other people misery. She looked forward to doing it.

New Deathly Hallows Trailer

In case you missed it, a new trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was released a couple days ago. You can see it here. Every time I watch it I see something new that I didn’t see before.

I for one have absolutely no idea how I’m going to make it the next two months til I get to see it.
