Growing TBR (33)

I’m always adding books to my TBR list. Here are the books that I added this week, along with where I saw them, and a summary.

Book: The Forbidden Game by L J Smith

From: I think it was one of the Story Siren’s In My Mailbox videos from a couple weeks ago.

Summary (Goodreads): To lose the game is to lose your life in bestselling author L.J. Smith’s THE FORBIDDEN GAME.

To capture the love of Jenny Thorton, Julian–a visitor from a dark world–draws Jenny and her friends into forbidden games; the contest for a human soul. The prize is Jenny’s freedom. The stakes are all of their lives. Jenny’s friends are determined to help her win. But Julian is the master of the Game. Jenny’s most desperate fight will be with him, this eerily handsome boy with electric blue eyes. He knows her deepest secrets, her darkest fears. He has almost infinite power. And the only thing he wants is for Jenny to surrender to him–body and soul.

Book: Wake Unto Me by Lisa Cach

From: I can’t remember!

Summary (Goodreads): A haunted castle, a handsome young man dead for four hundred years, one heck of a scary portrait of a witch, and a treasure hunt — not to mention a princess for a roommate! — all await 15 year old American girl Caitlyn Monahan when she earns a scholarship to a French boarding school.

There are secrets behind the stone walls of Chateau de la Fortune, buried for centuries along with the mystery of who killed Raphael, the charming ghost who visits Caitlyn at night. But as Caitlyn unearths the history of the castle, nothing scares her as badly as the secret she learns about herself, and the reason she was chosen to come to the Fortune School.

And nothing breaks her heart as badly as falling in love with a dead guy.
